Joaquín Fernández

Joaquín Fernández is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter, guitarist, and percussionist who has dedicated over 15 years to his craft, aiming to convey a message that promotes a more just and equitable world. His years of work and creativity are captured in his latest project, the album Caminando, which he is currently presenting.

The musical project "Caminando" is a celebration of the diverse cultural riches of Latino America, focused on promoting an harmonious lifestyle between humans and nature. As an Uruguayan singer-songwriter that spend some years in Brazil, his work is deeply influenced by Afro-Uruguayan candombe, milonga, Brazilian ijexá, and other Latin American rhythms. He fuses these musicalities with modern genres to build bridges between different regional cultures and between the ancient and the contemporary.
